In a place called Elm Street, a severely burned man named
Freddy Kruger murders teens while they are sleeping and cannot wake up to save
their life. Now the whole town must stay awake all day and night or it’s lights
out forever. The weird thing is that the idea was this was based on true story
about a boy once had a dream a man was trying to kill him and no one believed
him. Well one night he died and nobody knew the cause. Now the movie is all
based on a true story because I promise you it’s not by no means. It’s written and directed by Wes Craven when
he just got really creative with horror films in the 80’s. The cast is good but
the only people you really care about is Johnny Depp’s (in his first role) and
Heather Langenkamp’s characters. Freddy himself is creepy, psychopathic, and
somebody you don’t want to see even in your dreams. Of course, with so many
sequels and reboots that try to capture how great the first was and it never
works. Verdict: 7.8. RIP Wes Craven
